This Faithfull heavy-duty Jerry Can comes with a robust construction in carbon steel. Fuel retardant epoxy powder coated internally and externally for a long lasting, durable finish and to prevent corrosion. Fitted with a lockable cap, secure locking pin mechanism included. A gasket seal prevents leaks or evaporation.
The cans are UN approved and certified and independently tested in the UK by a VCA approved test centre. They are rigorously tested undergoing, a drop test, stacking test and hydraulic and air pressure tests to measure their strength, integrity and suitability for use. The UN certification requirement is to UN standard Group II for transporting flammable liquids, but the cans surpassed this during testing and were approved to Group 1 which relates to transportation of dangerous liquids and chemicals. Each can is also embossed with a unique UN number for traceability.
The storage and transportation of flammable liquids for domestic and commercial purposes are covered by extensive government legislation (The Petroleum Consolidation Regulations 2014) (PCR). The Jerry cans comply with all the requirements of these legislation. Note – This regulation limits the storage of fuel in a portable container to a maximum of 20 litres in metal containers or 10 litres in plastic containers.
